Employment FAQ’s
1) How do I obtain shifts?
A. You can call 400-work and listen to a recording that gives all available shifts. After you have heard all of the available shifts, call the scheduling line and express to one of the schedulers that you have interest in a particular shift. A scheduler might also get in contact with you if there is an open shift and your qualifications meet the needs of the client.
2) Will I have a regular Monday through Friday schedule?
A. Since we are a home health agency there are no guaranteed shifts. However, it is our primary goal to try and place all of our caregivers on cases that provide them with the desired hours needed.
3) Does ElderCare 4 Families offer benefits?
A. We do offer benefits to those who qualify. To qualify you must complete 90 days of employment and average 20 hours or more each week.
4) Does ElderCare 4 Families pay mileage for driving to a client’s home?
A. We do not pay mileage for driving to a client’s home. We do pay mileage for anyone who runs errands for a client in their own car or transports a client in their own car.
5) Will I be working for ElderCare 4 Families or for the client?
A. Although your primary concern and duty is to the client, however ElderCare 4 Families is your employer. You are to report any activities or concerns dealing with a client need to be reported to the home office.
